Credits and plans
Credits pay for generation. Browsing, writing a production, planning and editing are free.
Where credits come from
- Welcome credits: 600, once, with your first workspace.
- A plan: a monthly allowance, granted at the start of each billing month. Plans and prices.
- Top-ups: credit packs you buy whenever you need more, with or without a plan.
What expires, and what does not
A plan’s credits are for that month and do not roll over. They are spent first, and any left when the plan renews are removed as the new month’s credits arrive. Billing shows how many of your credits are this month’s and when they renew.
Credits you buy as a top-up never expire, and neither do welcome credits. Cancelling a plan keeps the credits you already have.
When you are charged
Every action shows its price before you start it, and is charged when it starts, so you never pay for something you could not see coming. If you do not have enough credits, nothing starts and nothing is charged.
A generation that fails through no fault of yours is refunded automatically, to the same kind of credits it was paid with.
API credits
The API is pay as you go, like an AI provider’s: requests made with an API key are paid with API credits, bought under Billing on their own, on any plan or none. They are kept apart from your plan and top-ups, and they never expire.
Work belongs to the credits it was started with: a campaign or film started with an API key pays for every shot, retake and retry with API credits, whoever asks for them, and work started in the studio or the app is paid with studio credits. A request with too few credits is refused with the price and what you have, and nothing starts.
Agencies and client workspaces
Work in a client workspace is paid from its agency’s credits under the agency’s plan, and each client’s use is reported separately. Client workspaces.
